on Monday May 13th 2024 a New Mexico state police officer was out on patrol when he was called to assist an Eddie County Deputy on a traffic stop the deputy had conducted a traffic stop on the driver who showed signs of impairment yeah so I'll tell you a minute right now I do have [Music] do you have anything in your mouth and any gum want to how quick do you think relatively it's going to take minutes what's our what's our time so we don't have a time it just we can't be here all night you know and I can't be here morning me personally I don't need more than 10 while talking to the passengers the male in the back seat asked how they do DWI here before stating he was an officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety I know some Troopers myself curious when the deputy and officer began asking questions about his employment at Texas DPS the male story began to quickly fall apart huh I mean it's a law en Force law enforce but let go broy you guys able to get a you guys dispatch who then contacted Texas DPS to verify if Michael was an officer which turned up that he was not hey it's 365 can you see if Texas DPS has an employee named Al BOS yeah yeah he's claiming to be an officer so he can get like benefits and to be nice and I was like hey bro don't don't impersonate so we're trying we're trying to we're trying Alex Vos thank you man where you stationed at with what county are you station at uh in uh Odessa Odessa yeah Hector County where'd you get station out of like just for reserves or you just got you just come straight home well I did my uh and oh nice no kidding Michael was transported and booked into the artisia Detention Center on one count of impersonating an officer and his warrant court records indicate Michael pled not guilty before the prosecutor dismissed the charge 3 months later online court records don't indicate what the reason for the dismissal was
