Motorcycle pursuit ends with a light *TAP* 🏍️ - Meth, Felony Fleeing, & PIT (Arkansas State Police)

Report: On July 7, 2026, at approximately 7:03 PM, I attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black 2002 Honda VT750 motorcycle traveling southbound on United States Highway 79 near Ouachita Road for displaying no license plate. At approximately 7:06 PM, Lucero attempted to make a left turn onto Ouachita Road 5 but failed to negotiate the turn. As he attempted to turn the motorcycle around in the east-side ditch, I used my patrol vehicle to push the motorcycle onto its side, bringing the pursuit to a stop. After the motorcycle fell, Lucero fled on foot in a southeasterly direction into a wooded area. Following a brief foot pursuit, Lucero stopped fleeing and was taken into custody without further incident. After escorting Lucero to my patrol unit, I conducted a search of his person. During the search, I located a plastic baggie containing what appeared to be crystallized residue in his left pants pocket. Upon observing the baggie, Lucero stated that he had discarded the suspected methamphetamine during the foot pursuit in the wooded area After Lucero was medically cleared by Pro Med Ambulance Service, he was transported to the Ouachita County Detention Center and charged with: Fleeing by Vehicle, Fleeing by Foot, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Speeding More Than 15 MPH Over the Posted Speed Limit, Improper Passing on the Left, Driving Left of Center, Driving on a Suspended Driver's License, No Motorcycle Endorsement, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, No Liability Insurance, Operating a Vehicle Without a License Plate, and Reckless Driving.
