Title
Sovereign Citizen Traffic Stop: Ignoring the Supreme Court Gets Them Arrested
Description
Two separate traffic stops.
Two sovereign citizens insisting police have no authority.
Both encounters end the same way — with a reminder of what the U.S. Supreme Court already decided in Pennsylvania v. Mimms (1977).
In this episode of Facts Or Frauds?, we start in Independence, Missouri, where Sovereign Myers records officers ordering him out of his vehicle while he calls for help and claims his rights are being violated.
Then we head to Mayflower, Arkansas, where Arkansas State Police encounter Sovereign Burley during a traffic stop that quickly turns into another dispute over the same command: step out of the vehicle.
Both officers rely on the same Supreme Court precedent — Pennsylvania v. Mimms, which confirmed that police may order a driver out of a vehicle during a lawful traffic stop.
The episode also briefly revisits Hendrick v. Maryland (1915), a decision often overlooked when “right to travel” arguments are raised during roadside encounters.
No theatrics.
No mockery.
Just the facts and the law.
