Honda Motorcycle ALMOST gets away from Arkansas State Police pursuit - DEFECTIVE TIRES & LICENSE

Report: On August 15, 2025, at approximately 1536 hours, I attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a blue Honda motorcycle displaying Arkansas license plate (YC166). The probable cause for the traffic stop was due to the vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate 30 at the 142mm with expired tags. Upon activation of my emergency equipment, the motorcycle failed to yield and began to flee. The suspect vehicle exited the Interstate while heading northbound onto JFK Boulevard and continued eastbound on A Avenue. Due to rush hour traffic and in the interest of public safety, I voluntarily terminated the pursuit. I continued to ghost trail the motorcycle without lights and sirens activated from a distance. At the intersection of Goshen Avenue and Skyline Drive, I observed the suspect attempting to upright the motorcycle and restart the engine. At that point, I conducted a felony take down. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The driver was identified as Joseph Adam Trussell with a suspended/restricted I.D. only. The license plate on the motorcycle came back to a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle, while the vin number on the motorcycle came back to a 1995 Honda motorcycle. Both the license plate and the vin number came back expired. The driver advised he didn't have insurance on the motorcycle and did not hold a motorcycle endorsement. The motorcycle was towed by Jim Smith Wrecker Service.
