Café con la Policia | Coffee with a Cop Day | Mesa PD

☕👮 Happy National Coffee with a Cop Day! Here in Mesa, we’re proud to celebrate with our own community tradition: Café con la Policía. Café con la Policía is our community’s take on the national “Coffee with a Cop” initiative. What makes it unique is that it’s a bilingual, culturally tailored event created to bring Spanish-speaking residents and local officers together in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Instead of a formal meeting, it’s a casual conversation over coffee, a chance for community members to ask questions, share concerns, and build trust with law enforcement. We meet the community where they are, creating an approachable atmosphere where dialogue can flourish. By offering it in Spanish, we’re breaking down language barriers and creating space for voices that are often underrepresented in community-police dialogue. The focus is simple but powerful: build relationships, increase understanding, and foster a true sense of connection.
