Honda Accord pursuit in Little Rock neighborhoods - Arkansas State Police hot on his tracks until...
Description
Trooper's Report:
On 4/1/2026 at approximately 10:52 PM, I, Trooper Jackson Shumate #242, responded to an agency assist regarding North
Little Rock Police Department in pursuit with a vehicle on I-630 W in Little Rock, Arkansas. I monitored North Little Rock Police
Department’s radio channel and heard them lose sight of the vehicle in the area of Cedar St and W 18th St. I traveled south on
University Ave and located the vehicle, a white Honda Accord, bearing Arkansas License Plate #BLL24G, at the intersection of
S University Ave and Broadmoor Dr at approximately 10:58 PM as it failed to stop at a red light. I had my emergency lights and
sirens activated and the vehicle fled from me. I notified Troop A Communications that I was in pursuit.
The vehicle continued driving at high rates of speed through residential areas and showed a wanton disregard for the public’s
safety. The vehicle also failed to stop at multiple stop signs and red lights throughout the pursuit. Traffic conditions were light,
but the vehicle drove unsafely through major intersections that could have resulted in motor vehicle collisions with multiple
different vehicles. I lost sight of the vehicle after it failed to stop at the red light at W 28th St and S University Ave. It continued
into the Broadmoor neighborhood again and I was unable to locate it.
Multiple marked police vehicles circulated the area and
were unable to locate it as well. North Little Rock Police Officer Anthony Veliz later contacted me and told me that he had
initiated a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle and the driver was identified as Bradley Bryant. He then fled from the traffic stop,
most likely due to having outstanding felony warrants.
Mr. Bryant is to charged with 5-54-125: Fleeing in Vehicle or Conveyance – Substantial Danger of Death.
