FCSO Deputies Threatened After Trespassing Arrest, Remain Professional Transporting Subject

The job of a Deputy Sheriff can be tough because you never know what you might encounter on duty. Throughout this call for service, deputies remained calm in the face of multiple threats and irrational behavior. This encounter demonstrates the professional service we always expect from our deputies and the importance of training. ——— On Sunday July 23, FCSO deputies were called to a home on Fulton Pl in Palm Coast, FL, where they located Devin Manrique, 33, as he engaged in a verbal dispute with family members on scene. Prior to deputies' arrival, family members told deputies that Devin had broken several items outside of the residence. After Devin was secured, he started to resist deputies. Devin then threatened to "hunt down" and "find" deputies on scene. Devin was Trespassed from the residence and arrested for Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest Without Violence, and Corruption by Threat Against a Public Servant. Once at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, Devin started to slam his head on the cage of the patrol vehicle causing a laceration to his forehead. He was transported to a hospital and medically cleared before being booked into the jail. He is being held on $6,500 bond.
