Title
Nissan Juke PIT Maneuvered into AUTO ZONE sign by Arkansas State Police #pursuit #chase #pit
Description
On Friday, September 19, 2025, at approximately 11:55 P.M., I was on the shoulder of Interstate 30 near the 133 mile marker
assisting a stranded motorist with a flat tire. I was notified by Troop A Communications that the Alexander Police Department
was requesting our assistance with an active vehicle pursuit. The suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 30 and
approaching the 132 mile marker.
As I was wrapping up, the pursuit passed my location. I quickly entered my patrol unit and began attempting to catch up.
Approximately two miles later, I observed the suspect vehicle and was able to take over as the primary unit in the pursuit.
As we approached the South Interchange, the suspect vehicle reached speeds exceeding 100 MPH and the suspect was still
driving recklessly. Traffic conditions were light at the time. Trooper Parada joined the pursuit in the south interchange and
assumed secondary, providing pursuit communications.
Approaching Exit 139A for Roosevelt Road, I positioned myself and performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI). Although
the suspect momentarily lost control, they regained control and exited the interstate via the 139A off-ramp.
The suspect then drove through a red-light-controlled intersection with a red light active and made a left-hand turn, traveling
westbound on Roosevelt Road. After the vehicle crossed beneath the overpass, I repositioned and executed a second TVI.
This time, the suspect vehicle spun out. Trooper Parada then successfully pinned the suspect vehicle against a brick wall,
effectively preventing any further movement.
The suspect was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody without further incident.
Charges:
-Fleeing
-Reckless driving
