Fleeing/trafficking arrest: 7/23/26

Today, Donnie Williams fled from an attempted traffic stop, drove around Deltona, hit stop sticks, tossed a backpack and bailed out in a backyard, where he tried to hide in the woods. The problem is Air One was overhead and K-9 Beny was with deputies on the ground. Williams was apprehended in the thick brush and guided out to a waiting patrol vehicle. In his discarded backpack, deputies found a loaded handgun, 203g meth, 17g fentanyl and 7g crack cocaine. Williams, 29, Sanford, has been to prison twice for a total of 8 years, last released in 2024. He has a criminal history that includes 17 felony arrests with 6 convictions. He is back in jail with no bond on his new armed drug trafficking and other charges.
