Watch this for a laugh! Suspect cranks his bike like a cartoon to flee Arkansas State Police ..VROOM
Description
Trooper's Report:
On July 7, 2026, at 08:51 pm, I was sitting stationary on U.S. Highway 79B (1st Street) near Cedar Street in Bearden. I
observed a Coleman 200 motorbike passing behind me onto Cedar Street. This is an ATV type motorcycle and cannot be
driven on a public roadway. The ATV was not equipped with a red light to the rear. I turned around and attempted to stop the
bike.
The driver of the bike, later identified as Morris Rinehart, made a left-hand turn onto 2nd Street by the Bearden Police
Department. He then made a right turn onto Plum Street. While doing so, Mr. Rinehart accelerated through the stop sign
without stopping. His driving actions made it apparent he was attempting to elude me. As I caught up to the bike, Mr. Rinehart
made a left-hand turn onto 3rd Street. Mr. Rinehart appeared to be cranking on the throttle to keep the bike moving, but it
started slowing down. After several seconds, Mr. Rinehart threw his hands up and began yelling “the throttle is stuck, I can’t
stop.” Mr. Rinehart finally came to a stop at the intersection of 3rd Street and School Street. He was taken into custody without
further incident.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Ouachita County
Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with fleeing, driving on a suspended license, no liability insurance, operating an ATV on a
public highway, failure to obey a stop sign, defective taillights, and improper/defective turn signals.
Mr. Rinehart was released
with a court date of October 19th at 11:00 am and the motorbike was towed by OTM Wrecker Service.
