Spring Break 'Zero Tolerance': How A Traffic Stop Turned Into A Search | Bodycam

A step-by-step bodycam breakdown of a Volusia County Sheriff's Office traffic stop in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, during the March 2025 spring-break 'zero tolerance' enforcement. What started as a window-tint violation turned into a vehicle search after the deputy reported the odor of cannabis — ending with two 19-year-old occupants charged with misdemeanor possession. We walk through the stop, the search, and the outcome, exactly as it unfolded on the Axon Body 4 footage. ⚖️ Note: The individuals shown were charged with misdemeanors and are presumed innocent; no court outcome is asserted here. A minor in the vehicle has been blurred and is not discussed. This video is an educational review of bodycam footage.
