Former officer arrested on trafficking charge

"Started off this morning seeing a familiar face. I hired Amber Williamson as a Daytona Beach police officer in 2009. She spent 10 years at DBPD. Now she's a teacher at Richard Milburn Academy, but probably not for much longer. A Port Orange PD investigation identified Amber as the dealer in multiple narcotics sales. During this morning's search warrant with VSO SWAT, POPD and the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force, detectives found trafficking amounts of fentanyl in the apartment she shares with prolific drug dealer Marcus Plowden. They are both being charged with armed trafficking. Glad to wrap up an early morning with 2 fewer drug dealers running free in our community." -Sheriff Mike Chitwood
