On August 2, 2024, around 2:27 PM, Arkansas State Police Trooper Gannon Tiller initiated a high-speed pursuit after a white 2013 Dodge Charger was spotted driving recklessly at 121 MPH on Interstate 49 near Texarkana, Arkansas. The driver, later identified as Xavier Javuan Wright, ignored commands to stop, leading troopers on a dangerous chase southbound from Miller County. Wright passed cars on the shoulder, blew through stop signs, and reached speeds over 120 MPH while weaving through traffic. During the pursuit, Trooper Tiller attempted multiple Tactical Vehicle Interventions (TVIs), but Wright managed to continue fleeing. The pursuit came to a sudden turn when Trooper Tiller's vehicle collided with a cable barrier, disabling his cruiser near West Fork Kelly Bayou. Wright didn’t get far—he crashed shortly afterward and tried to run on foot. Caddo Parish Deputies apprehended him, bringing the chaotic pursuit to an end.
