At the 38th Annual Candlelight Vigil in Washington D.C., the names of fallen officers are read aloud to honor their service and sacrifice. Arizona agencies, alongside departments from across the nation, gather with the family of Apache Junction Police Officer Gabriel Facio, Badge #409, End of Watch 6/8/25, and representatives from Maricopa County for Captain Shawn A. Braaten, Badge #S0983, End of Watch 12/16/2021, to honor their memory and ensure their legacy is never forgotten. #PoliceWeek2026 #CandlelightVigil Connect with Mesa Police Department on Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube: FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/MesaAzPD TWITTER: https://x.com/MesaPD INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/mesaazpd/ or follow at @MesaPolice Subscribe to our YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/@MesaPolice
