Description
Watch this police interrogation with intense raw interrogation from the interrogation room as police conduct a full interrogation of a suspect. This raw interrogation footage captures every moment of the suspect interview, complete with deception detection techniques, and criminal psychology in true JCS style interrogation. The Background Patrick M. Alltus, age 39, lived at 151 Hosheit Road in Riverside, Okanogan County, Washington. His 16-year-old niece, Shalin E. Alltus, lived with him under temporary custody. Parker M. Bachtold, also 16, was staying in the home after leaving a crisis center in the Yakima area; Patrick Alltus allowed him to live there. Shalin Alltus and Parker Bachtold were in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. Testimony indicated they had had sex at least twice and that Patrick Alltus did not permit them to sleep together. No clear, verified motive was established at trial. (Claims about relationship restrictions or other beliefs remain unconfirmed as established fact.) The Crime On or about the night of September 30, 2014, at the Riverside residence. Patrick Alltus’s body was discovered on October 5, 2014, by a friend or girlfriend. It was on the floor, covered by blankets, with a plastic bag over the head. He had gunshot wounds (a .22-caliber round through the right wrist that re-entered the bicep; a fatal .410 shotgun blast to the face/jaw) and a blunt-force injury to the forehead. Per Parker Bachtold’s account (presented in court and consistent with probable-cause materials): he was awakened by a gunshot, saw Shalin Alltus in the living room with a .22 rifle nearby and Patrick Alltus approaching while saying he had been shot and bleeding; Bachtold then fired the .410 shotgun into Patrick Alltus’s face. The body was covered with a blanket and a plastic bag was placed over the head. The pair took the firearms, the pickup truck, and other items and left. Shalin Alltus denied firing any shots. The Investigation Last known contact with Patrick Alltus was a text message to his girlfriend late on September 30, 2014. The pickup truck was missing; a statewide alert listed the two teens as persons of interest. On October 6, 2014, both were arrested at a motel in the Curtin/Douglas County, Oregon, area where Bachtold’s father and stepmother were staying. The missing truck and the .22 rifle and .410 shotgun were recovered there. Both initially denied knowledge of the death. Bachtold later admitted his role in the shooting. Accounts differed on who fired the first shot and the exact sequence. The firearms had been cleaned; related ammunition was found. Conviction and Sentencing Both were charged in adult court with first-degree aggravated murder, first-degree robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft of a firearm, and two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm by a juvenile. Parker Bachtold pleaded guilty in August 2016 to first-degree murder (amended from aggravated), first-degree robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft of a firearm, and one count of juvenile unlawful possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to 360 months (30 years) of confinement on the murder count, with concurrent shorter sentences on the remaining counts, plus a period of community custody. Shalin Alltus was convicted by jury in late August 2016 of first-degree premeditated murder (no aggravators) and the other counts; after appeals and resentencing she also received a 360-month sentence. As of the most recent verified information, both remain incarcerated in the Washington Department of Corrections. true crime, law and crime network, interrogation, interrogation analysis, red thread interrogations, interrogation jcs inspired, interrogation jcs style, interrogation psychology, interrogation psychology jcs inspired, new interrogations 2026,interrogation breakdown, police interrogation psychology, bodycam, interview, case analysis, bodycam footage, crime investigation, police interrogation, suspect interview, int, interrogations 2026,interrogation videos, jcs true crime
