Title
"Do You Know Who I Am?" — A Chief Judge's DUI Arrest | Full Bodycam
Description
Adria Kester was 55 years old and she was the most powerful judge in twenty-two Iowa counties.
On the night of November 4, 2025, drivers on U.S. Highway 30 near Boone started calling 911 about a pickup truck creeping the wrong way down the westbound lanes. One caller said the driver looked unconscious. Another said the truck had drifted into the median and was still rolling.
One of those drivers didn’t wait. She pulled over, found the door locked, and climbed in through the back window to put the truck in park.
The woman slumped behind the wheel was the chief judge of Iowa’s Second Judicial District — a former county attorney and prosecutor who had spent years deciding what happened to other people who drank and drove.
What the deputies wrote in their report, what happened when they asked about field sobriety tests, and what the blood test showed almost six hours later are all in this video.
Two days after the arrest she resigned as chief judge. On December 2 she pleaded guilty. The sentence was three days.
Every claim in this video comes from the criminal complaint, Iowa court records, and body camera footage released under Iowa public records law. No one was injured in this incident.
If it had been you in that median that night — would the number have been the same?
DISCLAIMER: This video is based on publicly released body camera footage, court records, and published news reporting. Body camera footage from U.S. law enforcement agencies is public record. Nothing in this video is legal advice or an accusation beyond what is documented in the court record. Adria Kester pleaded guilty to a first-offence OWI and was sentenced accordingly.
