Thick brush, muddy swamps, uneven footing, that's all in a typical K-9 track. #k9 #k9unit

Thick brush, muddy swamps, uneven footing, that's all in a run-of-the-mill K-9 track. They were just happy this one was during daytime! When people think K-9 Unit, they think of them at presentations, riding around in a cruiser with a dog, or chasing bad guys in an urban setting. But that's only part of the job. K-9 tracks often don’t l lead deputies through city steets or big open spaces. They usually end up where no one else wants to go. You may not think of thick wooded areas or swamps when you think Pinellas, but they're here, and our K-9 Unit is all too familiar. Because that's exactly where the people they're trying to find go: suspects, people experiencing mental health crises, and missing people. If K-9 didn't follow them, who would? K-9 deputies endure it all for public safety, whether it's a violent criminal or someone who needs help. Thanks to our hard-working teams!
