A late-night encounter with a black passenger car quickly turns into an extreme-speed Arkansas State Police pursuit on August 27, 2026.
According to the supplied audio, the trooper first noticed the vehicle behaving unusually at a red light. After the light changed, the driver accelerated hard. The trooper later discovered that the vehicle's tag appeared to be expired, and once the driver apparently realized the patrol vehicle was behind him, the situation escalated rapidly.
The trooper describes the car reaching 100 MPH and then exceeding 120 MPH before reaching the on-ramp. During the later roadside interaction, the trooper tells the driver he had been traveling 137 MPH.
The pursuit moves through the service-road area and toward Highway 5. Radio traffic indicates the vehicle struck or jumped a median but continued moving. The trooper then reports possible tire damage and sparks coming from the vehicle as the driver struggles to maintain control.
Dashcam footage shows Arkansas State Police Trooper Andrew Stovall alongside the damaged black sedan after the pursuit.
