45 Year Old Killer Murders Roommate, Hides Her Body in a Shed—But Detectives Have the Evidence
Description
44-Year-Old Killer Murders Roommate, Hides Her Body in a Shed—But Detectives Already Have the Evidence What began as a missing-person investigation in Stow, Ohio, quickly turned into a homicide case. On March 15, 2014, police searching for 21-year-old Michelle Johnson discovered her body concealed inside a makeshift shed behind the Maplepark Road home she shared with Roxanne Buck. Attention soon turned toward Buck, Michelle's roommate. Investigators discovered evidence in the lower level of the home where Buck lived and determined that an attempt had been made to clean the scene. Police also documented footwear evidence near the shed, while forensic testing connected Michelle's DNA to suspected bloodstains on library books recovered from Buck's vehicle. Buck initially cooperated with investigators but was described by police as evasive and was released. As investigators continued building their case, the evidence increasingly pointed back to her. Five days after Michelle's body was discovered, Stow Police arrested Roxanne Buck for murder. This video examines the police interviews of Roxanne Buck and the investigation that transformed a missing-person report into a murder prosecution. A jury ultimately convicted Buck of murder and tampering with evidence. She was sentenced to 18 years to life in prison, and her convictions were later affirmed on appeal. Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction records currently list her as incarcerated. DISCLAIMER: This video is presented for documentary, educational, and public-interest purposes.
