Title
Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle flees Arkansas State Police - light tap ends pursuit, suspect runs 🏃🏿♂️
Description
Report:
On 10/05/2025 at approximately 1403 hours, I, Trooper Bluford, attempted a traffic stop on a blue motorcycle displaying no
license plate on Interstate 30 Westbound near mile marker 141. The traffic violation observed was speeding and improper lane
change.
After observing the traffic violation, I got behind the motorcycle, activated my lights and sirens, and attempted to stop the
motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as Craig Washington, turned around and looked as I was attempting to
stop him, and then accelerated. Mr. Washington continued from Interstate 30 west at the 141-mile marker to Interstate 30 West
at the 133-mile marker. Mr. Washington reached speeds of 120 miles per hour. Mr. Washington changed lanes several times,
cutting in between vehicles and driving on the shoulder.
Mr. Washington then exited Interstate 30 West at exit 133, where Trooper Hiland took primary control of the pursuit. Mr.
Washington continued west onto the I-30 Frontage road before turning north on to University Avenue, where I was able to
intercept the pursuit at the Interstate 30 West entrance ramp. Mr. Washington attempted to take the Interstate 30 West
entrance ramp before running on foot. Trooper Hiland and I gave chase. Mr. Washington ran northbound in a grassy area
before giving up. Mr. Washington was given commands to lie on his stomach several times, and he refused to follow the
commands. Trooper Hiland then forced Mr. Washington to the ground with his foot and he was then taken into custody.
Mr. Washington was searched and placed inside my patrol vehicle. Mr. Washington was transported to Pulaski County
Detention Facility, where he was charged accordingly.
